Do I have to use a TRUE thermostat on my T-72?

My current thermostat will hold my average temp at 35.53 and I need the temp to stay around 40. Is there an aftermarket thermostat I can use that will give me a tighter temp window? I need the fridge to stay between 36 and 46.

I would not recommend replacing the thermostat with an air sensing thermostat. The factory thermostat senses the coil temperature and cycles the unit off when the coil reaches approx. 15 degrees and back on at approx 40 degrees. I have used air sensing thermostats in the past and at erratic times the unit will ice up the coil. The absolute best thing I have done is to remove the factory thermostat and install a Emerson digital ETC110000, put the sensor in the coil and set it for 15 degrees with a 25 degree differential and play with the settings if necessary. Go no lower than 13 degrees with a 27 degree differential. Wiring and installing the ETC will require a decent tech and is not a DIY unless you are very handy.

The True thermostat sits on the evaporator in a piece of tube attached to the coil. If it won't switch off at your required temp even at position 1 you can use an air temperature type thermostat in it's place. It will sit in the same place but the sensing end will coil up behind the fan. Get a bar fridge thermostat and it'll adjust to your needs.

SOURCE: refrigeration problem

It sounds very much like control board problem. The chances of both sensors at fault seems unlikely. Unusual that it is the exact same temp unless they are your setpoint requirements. I would advice contacting reliable fridge guy to check the cabinet. Hope this is of some if not much help.

That depends on if your model has a five or ten year warranty on the compressor. Your problem may not be warranty related. Check and see if the condenser is clean, check for a frozen cooling coil.

SOURCE: GE Profile Side by Side is getting too cold on the fridge side.

I have a GE refrigerator with the same problem of my food freezing in the refrigerator. I spoke to an appliance part person and they sold me a temperature sensor for 20 bucks. They said it would be located in the control panel, but I took the control panel off and can't find the sensor. I'm now looking on yahoo answers to find out where the sensor is located.

Why is the unit freezing? It is a TRUE TSSU-60-16.

Turn down the temp and move produce item closer to the front. The air exits the evaporator at around 28 degrees. Possible you need a thermostat.

True takes pride in their customers respect. If helpful please rate if not then ask me whatever you need to solve. my guess is the thermostat is defective or out of calibration. Ok this is a state that is running on a program. You are going to have to go through and set the set points on it. This can be done by looking at the screen and pressing the program button. Set the tempature at the right time. There will be settings for monday through friday and sat/ sunday. There may be as many as 4 different set points for each of these so take you time and go through each one.

TRUE Salad Unit freezing food/compressor will not cycle properly

Double check to see that you do have in fact, the correct thermostat. I have found a chart that shows that the differential is all over the board. There is a way to adjust these thermostats but is very time consuming and if you are not a refrigeration tech, you may struggle with the procedure.

What is the correct temp at dryer exhaust when dryer is on ''high'' I have a electric bill that has doubled and I am researching each appliance in my home.

The high thermostat usually cycles around 145°F (on average), but it is the time it takes to dry a load that really matters. Nothing should take more than an hour. Usually around 40 minutes average.
