Oven heats up very slowly and does not get very hot

I had an old oven that started working poorly. We pulled the old electric wall oven out and noticed that one of the power connections was poorly attached. We put the new oven in and made sure the connections were all attached properly. The new oven has the same problem as the old. It heats up very slowly. The upper element works but the lower element seems not to be working at full power. The oven wont get hotter than @350 degrees unless you put it on broil. My question is could the wire that was damaged be permenently damaged and thus the oven is not getting enough power. Thanks. The oven is a Frigidaire Gallery Series

Check your power to the oven at the terminals where the power cord connects.Should be 220 volts. Also check the terminals of the bake element for loose connections or a burnt wire.

Oven not heating up properly

You could very well have an electrical problem. You may not be getting the full 220 volts needed to make the oven function correctly. Call a local appliance technician or electrician for service.
