SOURCE: TV BLACK SCREEN WITH THE POWER ON.

It needs repair.
If the line is vertical, then something is damaged on its horizontal circuit section on the mainboard.
If the line is horizontal, the vertical circuit section is damaged.
have it repaired to a qualified service center or person!
avoid switching it to avoid further damage on other parts!

SOURCE: MAGNAVOX 27" TV, PICTURE START UP PROBLEM

This problem with your television set is more than likely a problem with intermittent component failure. The fact that the television turn on for awhile is a sign the the component or components are intermittent. The reason the television turns off is that it goes into the protection mode caused by the intermittent component or components. They are unstable and are causing unstable voltages supplies to appear in the circuits. The television has a built in feedback circuit that will detect the faulty operation and turn off the television. When it stabilizes again the television turn back on. This is usually a sign of aging or faulty components. The problem will only get worse and the television should be thoroughly tested. You can call Magnavox customer support at this telephone number 1-800-705-200. Give them the model number of your television and tell them about the problem you are having with intermittent turn on of the television. They will be able to tell you where to take the television for testing and service. I hope this information helps you with your problem.

Tv turns off right after i turn it on

I have not repaired one of these in a lonng time. But lets take a stab at it. I would guess You have bad solder connections on the vertical IC. Resolder this and replace the cap near the IC. Now the reason for the shut down is cured. The white screen will appear and you will have audio and be able to hear the channels change, You need to replace the eeprom. Hope this will help you! I don't have location #s, so this is just off the top of my mind.

White lines

These are retrace lines. This may be a fault in the blanking circuits. On some occasions a weak CRT can also cause blanking lines to show.

This is something you would not be able to service yourself. I would suggest to have an estimate done on the TV set for you to decide if it should be serviced or not.

White Screen w/ White Lines, Sound On, Turns off after 2 or 3 secs.

Hi If you mean thin white lines, this is is an indication of a problem in the Horizontal Drive ckt. most likely the Damper Diode has opened or shorted, this would cause the visual symptom and then the set would shut down, unfortunately this is a problem best left to a qualified technician to repair, hope this helps.

RCA 27" TV F25432

You apparently have a high voltage arc. Possibly the anode lead to your picture tube. Also the flyback transformer could be arcing. If you're not experience with tv repair, you need to have a tech check it for you. The circuits operate at very high voltage and if you get into it you can get a possibly fatal electrical shock.
