The TV (HD - DLP) has intermittent red horizontal lines accross the screen and the entire screen goes red at times (although you can still see the images).
Questions:
- Does this sound like anything specific?
- Is it just the bulb?
- Would you recommend Circuit City in home repairs?

I looked up how to fix red horizontal lines on a Philips flat-screen tv. It turns out it needed the Y buffer upper replaced. I am not sure if this problem would be similar but it might help. I am also searching how to fix a fuzzy screen on a DLP tv. Hope you find what you need.
The lenses in the TV are more than likely misaligned due to heat from lamp. The heat can cause the lenses to move and the red shaded horizontal line appears over time because the lenses fall out of alignment.
You just need to have the lenses realigned and the red shading will go away.
Can you bring up the menu and see the menu over the red lines? Does the menu have red lines over it? I suspect the light engine is bad. Might want someone with experience to tackle that problem.
it sounds like a b+ cap going bad and is intermittant that feeds the the video drivers on the crt pcb or the crt is shorting. I have seen intermittant shorts in crt before.
