Sounds like a heater issue, holding up the timer due to not getting to temperature. Could also be timer, or even pressure switch. Difficult to diagnose without testing individual wash cycles.

SOURCE: Washer won't stop!

Viv, hopefully it's just your filter thats clogged with lint and stuff. You will have to remove the front lower panel and the pump filter cover will be right in front. It just unscrews and pulls out. These models have a pressure switch that will not allow the machine to advance into high spin if it detects water in the tub. This is an easy job, just grab some towels and be ready for some water when the filter cover comes off. Clean out the stuff and see it fixes the problem..Catriver..post back.

Terri, you may need to contact Maytag on this one. Here is service bulletin that was released in June of 2002... Reducing the number of wet clothes loads, spinning and draining complaints. Modifications to the time estimation displayed toward the end of spin cycle. Display will no longer fluctuate erratically, time remaining. ?dO? is no longer displayed when the door is open. Warranty See specific product for warranty information. Action This board modification was phased into production without a series change. Inventory at the National Parts Center was purged and replaced with the new control board." Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Electrolux/Simpson EZI sensor 5.5 kg machine cycles.

Well I'm an idiot. They did say there was a fast wash, but it specified that it was for extra rinses to help people with detergent allergy etc., but did not give a time for the cycle. They should have said it was the short wash for everyone. I tried it, and it was fine. Thanks anyway. If I ever have a real problem, I'll be back.

How long should a complete regular load take?

A regular load should probably take approximately 40 minutes, but there are various times for every different washer. The washer I have at home takes about 50 minutes to an hour. It really depends on the quality of the washer. Certain washers today use less water therefore it takes longer to wash

I have an Aqualtis 9l29i washing machine. It is working fine but the wash cycles are all ridiculously long.Put it on the quick wash yesterday, three hours later still washing!! Suggestions please?

1. Front load machines always have much longer cycles.

2. The machine you have has a time saver mode on most cycles.

3. Check with your local Ariston reps on the time various wash cycles should take with your model if this is not specified in the user manual, which it normally would be.

4. These are notoriously bad over priced machines which will give you trouble early in ownership and are expensive to fix. For half the price you can buy a good top loader that will give you at least twice the trouble free years of use and not run ridiculous wash cycle times.

Manua beko 5kg aa class 1000 rpm

most washers on a full wash cycle take about 60 minutes. It will take longer if you use a soak cycle with extra minutes because if you have a soak cycle and you set it for 30 minutes the total wash time will be around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

The washing machine is taking longer time

You can check that pump filter which is behind the base plinth, also check that the water entering the machine is at a reasonable pressure. If the machine is taking a longer time to wash and both inlet and the outlet of water is ok, it is more than likely a wash side heater fault. Basically, you set, for example. a 40 degree cycle, the heater does not operate and the water never reaches the required temp, the machine ventually times out on the heat phase and then moves on to the rinses or aborts to the end of the cycle.

Put my washing on at a 60 degree wash for 1 hour 40 mins. Went back to machine several hours later, there was tiny amount of water on floor and machine had water in it but the wash had not progressed any...

Sounds like a blockage perhaps the filter needs cleaning or pump blades jammed...If its a Hotpoint then filter is middle of sump hose connected to the drum....

How to operate the machine...when i 1st time use,the machine working for 1 hour plus...please show me how the thing function..thanks

You MUST use "HE" (High Efficiency-Low Suds) type detergent--but to use the correct amount.
Nearly all brands of "HE" detergent have incorrect instructions.

The correct amount is as follows:

    HE: (2) Tablespoons Per Washload

    HE 2X (double concentrated) : (1) Tablespoon

HE 3X (triple concentrated): (1) Teaspoon

    This reduces/prevents:

    1) Musty Odor

    2) "LE" Error/Interrupted Cycle

    3) L-O-N-G Cycle Times (longer than time displayed)

    4) Insufficient Cleaning Results

    5) Small Water Leaks from the air vent behind the washer or at the
    front door gasket

    6) Damaged Hall Effect Sensor (on 2007 or older LG washers)

    7) Reduced Spin Speeds (laundry not spin-dried effectively)

    1 1/2 PER LOAD

    This is joyce
It is according to what cycle you have it set on and what kind of detergent you are using. if you use something other than HE detergent you may have a very long cycle, its trying to get all the suds out of your clothes, and yes the cycles do range that high.
