Hmm... sometimes it happen to me also, be sure that you've installed your software or else it may cause the troble. I suggest that you try to upgrade your ram, maybe your video card has been force to over work than normal just because your ram has to low.

Upgrade from a 64MB nVIVIA GeForce4 Ti4200 graphics card.

This card is really good for an AGP card. It had 512 mb of DDR2 memory. If you are using Photoshop You need to look at upgrading to the max amount you can get into you machine.Photoshop is built to use as much memory as you will allow. I think you can go to 3 gigabyte of standard DDR NOT DDR2. Also, XP has Service Pack 3 now so download that from Microsoft's site. Hope this helps.

The Palit Daytona Geforce 4 ti 4200 solution?

Check to see if you can upgrade the bios or set it to 8X if not, then your wasting the potential of the card.

Also, your power suply may not have enough power for all the devices you have hooked in, try unplugging the CD. floppy drive and try booting with just the main componets and see if it blows the PW supply again.

450W should be enough but may be not, depending on how many fans and other devices you have. Plus, the mainboard may not be able to handle it. Its shutting off to protect the system from getting fried.

Again, check the bios, you may be able to set it to a higher output for that Video card. Or even change it to 8x. It is quite old though, you may just have to put in for a new system. Keep all your receipts in case you have to take back that video card.

Gpu working not getting monitor picture

Is there another type of video output on the card, like S-Video? It could be trying to use the other output as the primary rather than the regular VGA. If this is the case, use nvidia's display utility to manage which output should be the primary.
