It will run for a short time then shut down with the Lamp indicator LED a steady Red which according to the instructions is indicating overheating. The filter is clean. I do not have another lamp to try.
I would call Epson support. Sounds like you have an internal fan problem.

Sorry I forgot to post.
The exaust fan was bad in the unit I was working on.

Hi David, i know this was a long time ago but did you ever find a solution to your problem? I have the same projector and it has started doing the same thing but is loooong past it's serviceable days i'm guessing.
