I am so frustrated. I have tried everything to delete songs from my sandisk m200........What am I doing wrong? I have plugged it into my computer, deleted songs from my computer, media player, etc...as soon as i unplug it they come right back!! Help!
You must 'release' the M200 from your computer
before unplugging. With Windows, find the little icon on the bottom right of the screen...it looks
like a card with an arrow over it...put mouse arrow over it and click with left mouse button...then select the drive the M200 is connected to...then viola...after dialog box pops up, unplug.

Look in the manual for the m200 series players on page 31 under USB, how to select Auto Dectect (MTP or MSC) or only MSC : http://mp3support.sandisk.com/downloads/um/sansa-m200-um.pdf
MTP is Media Transfer Protocol, seeing the player as a media device.
MSC is Mass Storage Class, seeing the player as a removable disk.
connect your sansa to the computer and via usb cord check computer the hardrive letter e,f,d, whatever right click that letter and then format. this will delete all the songs. or you could open windows media player click sync and then drag and drop songs from your computer to your sansa or visa versa.
To delete songs from your device follow the steps below You have to make sure that the device is on MSC mode...then make sure your device is plug in to the computer..Then go to programs - accesories - windows explorer, find the SanDisk in my computer, go to media, music and delete them from there. Either under sync panel in your windows media
player it will show your music when it's connected. just click the plus
signs for what song you need to get rid of, right click and click
To format it..on your device..go under..menu, setting and there should
be a format option option there..let me know if that doenst work for
you... Hope this helps
If you are just using windows explorer (my computer) to access the files on the player you might need to set your players usb mode to "MSC", if it is set to "MTP" then you will need to access the mp3 players files via a music management software like winamp or wmp.
You can delete them thru My Computer.
Double click on the Sansa (m200), inside you will see a Music Folder. Inside is your individual tracks, separated by album names.
You can add or delete all music from here.
Best of Luck.
