Door Problem When we open the dishwasher the door drops down and bounces. Is it possible to limit the speed of the fall of the door? Many thanks Chris

    The door hinge falls open rather than slowly opening

There are set springs for the adjustment of the doors on the Bosch dishwashers. they are colour coded for different applications. They are accessed by laying the machine on its back and pulling the springs out of the base. first you will need to check that the nylon lines which attach the springs to the lower part of the door mechanisms are in place and this can also be done while the machine is on its back. or by first removing the side panels to access the door hinge mechanisms. If you have a custom cabinet panel on your machine it may be too heavy for the springs and new springs will have to be installed.

Sounds like the dispenser door isn't opening. If it isn't being blocked by dishes, the dispenser door spring might be broken, the dispenser release solenoid could be faulty, or not getting power from the control panel. While you're waiting for it to get fixed, you can just put the detergent in the bottom of the dishwasher and run it on normal cycle. It also possible the dispenser door isn't opening wide enough for the puck to fall out. Make sure the door opens freely under it's own spring assist.

Door drops down suddenly when opened
Your spring is hooked onto a cable to help ease the door down. It must have come loose. You'll have to open the door panel and panel under the dishwasher... and possibly have to pull the whole thing out to find the problem... only then can you tell if something is bent or broke.

Chamberlin garage door opens to top limit bounces back to return down about 6 inches and then returns to open limit. What adjustments are neccessary?
The limit switch of both the sides are not reached. The drive must be realigned to work till the door closes fully so as to touch the limit swittch to switch off.
Similarily the open door must go to the extreme point to cut off with the activation of the limit switch.

It sounds like your door is traveling too far in the down direction. Locate the 'down limit' control on the side of the motor unit and turn this control in the opposite direction of the arrow printed on the cover. Some tweaking may be necessary.

Door brake on dishwasher broken
part number 8194001.. easy install, just need to remove th eunit form the cabinet perhaps 1 foot or so, the "door links snap" the kit comes with everything you need(including instructions) probably 20-25 bucks.. i get $200 for that job, might take you all of 30 min.
