I have a cody 40" and when the tv turns on, the light is bright, and i went to turn it on today the light lit up but the tv didnt turn on. PLEASE HELP?
I'd add something to this. We had the same issue with a 40" coby. We'd declared it dead and after a few days turned it on again to show the problem before trashing it. The TV came on. We've since learned that there seems to be a HDMI handshake issue related to this tv. If you turn it off with HDMI devices still sending a signal, it will periodically return to this point, and take a day before it will turn back on (I guess until the caps are fully drained.) If you turn the TV off first and then devices however, this never seems to happen. Dunno if this is the same for others, but I'm curious
My 40" Coby HD flat TV does this a few times a year. When I unplug just the Tv from its power source and wait aprox. 10-15 seconds and plug it back in, it usually will then turn on.
Hello , the solution to all problems of this model is to change the SPI memory , or try reprogramming , attached data . The original memory is 4MB and should be replaced by a similar features 8MB . Luck !!

This occurs regularly with my Coby 40 TFTV4028 LCD TV. I find that simply unplugging and plugging back in the TV will restore normal operations. In more stubborn instances, unplugging all HDMI devices (i.e., my Roku or Sony media streamers) and unplugging and plugging back in the TV will get things working again.
Check power supply caps and diods and connection this may help may need a new power supply. do not quote me on this

I had a 32" Coby that did the same thing, turned out to be a defective main board. The main board wasn't sending the 3.3v signal to wake up the power supply. In my case I sold the tv for parts because it wasn't cost effective to replace the main board. It sound like your main board
