Did you ever leave you USB cable or mp3 in front of some speakers or amplifiers...that might be the problem I had the same problem but i dont know how to fix it but all i know is that if you left it mear any speackers or amplifiers than it is broken.

I think it needs the 5 pin usb cable, but don't take my word for it. Check on the i-bulldog if it has anything that looks like it fits the picture i'm attaching. At least that's what the newer ones take.
