My kdc138 flashes ocer its so cheap no one would steal it my bat was disconnected during service now it just flashes.

If the batt was disconnected the radio probably needs a pass code to reset it. Do you have it? If not go online to sites that sell pass codes for radio's. Find your make/model/serial number and see if anyone carries the code.

What does error code OCER mean on a kenwood model KDC-135

I'm not sure what it means, but try hitting the little tiny reset button on the front of the deck to fix it.

I turn on the radio and OCER is shown in the faceplate and it doesn't do anything else.

Hello miguel200819,

The "PROTECT/DCER" error is caused whenever a speaker wire is shorted or grounded by contact with the vehicle frame. Locate and repair the shorted/grounded wire or run a new one and then "reset" the receiver by pressing the reset button to the lower left of the volume control. If this does not work, the receiver is faulty and needs to be serviced.

Hope this helps.
