SOURCE: Won't format new memory card

Your camera is not SDHC compatible. It will only support standard SD cards. Sorry.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: Kodak c310 camera won't format new SD 2GB card old card same size

Older C310s won't take that large a card. Try to exchange it for a 1 GB or smaller. I had the same problem - a PNY 1 GB works fine

SOURCE: I bought a 2GB SD card for my Kodak EasyShare C330 Camera

Buy a 1GB card (or 2). The spec for the SD card format is going to 2GB but the Kodak C330 not compatible with 2 GB SD memory cards.

SOURCE: I bought my Kodak Easyshare C310 a few years ago

Hi there
Check to make sure the cards write protect is off, take the card out of the camera, face the card towards you, look for a small white tab on the left hand side of the card, to unlock it push the tab down, it will be at the side of the card like this 59a6de4.jpg . Put it back in the camera and use the menu to format the card.
If the format fails then its a possibility that you will need a new card.

Good luck and thanks for choosing FixYa!!

SOURCE: I bought a new sd

Insert the memory card. Press the MENU button. Use up/down to highlight Setup (three horizontal sliders) and press the OK button. Use up/down to highlight "Format" and press OK.

Make sure you're using an SD card. If the card is larger than 2GB than it's actually an SDHC card and won't work in the C330.

I am not able to format a memorycard for a Kodak Easyshare z700

Try formatting it first in your computer and then in the camera. Sometimes a corrupted SD can't be read by the camera beforehand. If that doesn't work and you cannot format any SD cards try a factory default reset from the camera's menu options.

Easyshare kodak Z700

The Z700 works with MMC and SD cards, which max out at 2GB. It will not work with higher-capacity SDHC cards.

If you just purchased this camera, you can try phoning place of purchase or make a trip there. It sounds as if the software in camera may be messed up.

There is a function in your camera setup menu to format memory cards. It won't make any difference to the reddish hue of the pictures, but it will delete everything on the card.

No, you can use any SD card, and in fact you are using the card you have. Your camera can take and display pictures, so it is using already. These cards are digital- they either work or they don't. You might get a corrupted picture file but a memory fault wouldn't just add a hue to all shots like a film might.

It won't hurt to get a new card and try it- then you can tell them that you did what they said and it didn't help. The card will be of use as a spare or to hold more shots on holiday. At some point you need to return this camera as it seems to have a fault, but it sounds like they are trying to blame the old card instead of giving you a replacement or repair.

The Z700 works with SD cards. Your 4GB card is actually an SDHC card (the HC stands for High Capacity) and will not work in the Z700. You'll have to stay with SD cards 2GB and smaller.

Reformatting sd memory card for canon camera an 8gb card and it told me I coudn't print pictures on my HP photosmart 380 series printer unless I reformatted my memory card??

If your camera is indeed an SD200, am sorry to say an 8GB SDHC will not work in this camera. The camera will fail to recognize it, and will do this by giving various problems as you've run into. The overall problem is that the camera was designed before the SDHC format came out (SDHC cards although the exact same in appearance are different in format than standard SD cards). The largest size card that the SD200 will recognize is a 2GB standard SD card.

New 2 GB Memory cards say cards full when installed

The SD card may have to be reformated. You should do this in the camera you want to use the SD card with. Do not format the card with your computer.

In you manual or on the menu of your camera there is a "Format" procedure. follow that and your camera will work again (REMEMBER) if you have images on the SD card down load them before you format the card.

Once you down load the images from your camera you should reformat the card to clear it in order to shoot more images.
