When I open up my phone, it shows just a white screen. It animates from black to white. Sometimes, it only animates part of the way and i get a half balck, half white screen. On the rare occasion, I open up my phone and get a very dithered image of what should be there, frozen in place indefinitely. When I close and reopen my phone in the last scenario, it goes back to black, white, or a combination of the 2. The phone operates fine, i can dial out (although with absolutely no visuals on the inside) or i can use voice activate to get to my contacts. I have 30 text messges that are work related and very important that I can't get to. Assuming this can't be fixed, how can i get these messages off my phone!? And if this screen condition can be fixed... how?
Try taking ur memory card out i had a simmilar problem my phone was just sitting on the desk and just randomly started flashing black and white it wouldnt let me turn it off i couldnt use it to make calls then after an hour of playing with it i took the memory card out and it worked normally again the only problem is now i cant use a memory card so.... can any1 help me??

There are a few possibilities but I would start by checking the av cables (the one that plugs into your tv). If you wiggle the cable while the console on does the picture change (the black and white and dimming etc)? If so you need a new one.
You can get one on ebay for like $4 or even cheaper if you want to wait for it to ship from hong kong.
OR if you have a Nintendo 64 or an SNES the av cables for those are the same so you can use them instead.
hope it helps
I believe you have a problem with the hinge of the flip where your wire that connects to the display opens up your screen. If you keep opening the flip and closing it slowly does the screen turn on and off??? If it does then you have a problem with the hinge like I said. If not then it could be just a software glitch where you need to reinstall the operating system.
got this from a friend:
Apparently some series of Acer notebookcame with BAD_EDID laptopdisplay. The only thing wrong is the checksum which is 9D and should be 1D. Powerstrip 3.76 (registered version) managed automatically to correct EDID.
There is no problem with drivers from 101.x series, but with any newer driver max. resolution is 1024x768 and the picture is in left upper corner of the screen with black bar on the right and smudged taskbar to the bottom of the screen. After installing and restarting resolution is set to 800x600 what results in white screen whit thick black bar slowly appearing on the screen.
