E815 Camera Phone says "Busy Try again" after phone fell in pool

My son's E815 fell in the pool and we let it dry up(weeks now). The battery has a red indicator now and doesnot charge. I removed the battery and is using the AC Plug, everything seems ok execpt the camera part. When I press the camera icon, all I see is "photoview finder" followed quickly by a "busy try again" I brought it to Verizon service center, the tech took a took a minute to say phone is shot and since I don't have insurance , i have to pay full retail.

Damn, you should have bought some DI water (Deionized water), its what they use to wash the PC boards before they ship them out. Wash the phone off in that, and it should clean out all the shorts. Some say its so pure it cant be drunk

Except your losses. Anytime you buy an expensive phone, buy Insurance up to the time of your contract ending. In that way you can buy a new one with the same discount you would receive with Insurance. Bill.

I have a Kodak Easyshare M340 that fell in a pool. I took the battery out over night to let it dry out. A light in the front turns on and it makes whirring noises. Can it still function? I don't know if...

Stop trying to get it to work!!! You're probably frying the circuits. Bury the camera in a bowl of dry rice for a week and then try to turn it on.(however, it may be too late). '

My phone got wet

Try removing the battery, using a blow dryer to air everything out in battery compartment. If there are any tiny screws or way to open up the phone itself, open it up, and blow everything inside there too.

Let it dry out completely and then see if it will work again. My guess is no, because once the circuits get wet, they are pretty much damaged and irrepairable.

Hope this helps at least some. Good luck!

I droped my nokia 6300 in water

I have a phone that got wet, not totally submerged though and was able to get it working again. I took the phone apart and using alcohol cleaned anything that looked like it could be corroded. Keep in mind that the circuit board is extremely delicate and unless you are accustomed to working with electronics I would stay away from touching the board. The most important thing is to take it apart to allow the nooks and crannies to dry out. I have had friends do that and only that and got them working again. Get the phone apart and blow dry, let sit, blow dry, let sit etc... If you have a dehumidifier you can set the phone near it to help it dry. Do this for several days to a week and then, only then give it another try. If you didn't fry anything already this might work.

Wet dash

There's still water in it. You'll need to take the battery out and let it dry another two days. I got my phone wet one time and it took a week before it worked again.

Motorola E815 cell phone

This exact issue happened to me: I left my phone off for 2 days (unplugged), turned it back on and the internal speaker started working normally again. The phone worked normally for over a month after this. Yesterday, the earpiece speaker stopped working again after the phone fell out of my pocket. I suspect a loose connection or something similar, but I've had my phone off for the last day and will let you know whether or not it starts working again.
