SOURCE: Beeping Sewing Machine

Your problem is most certainly with the buttonhole switch. Firstly: Look if the buttonhole lever, left back of machine, is push up in position. The beeping sound is a warning message. Secondly Remove the light cover, left of the machine, loosen back screw and remove left hand screw completely. Check for a small black electric switch, follow the brown and green elecrtic wire, just back of the light. If you push the BH lever up and down the switch finger should also move up and down. If it stays down, the machine will not work and give a beeping sound. If the switch finger is stuck, push it up with the BH in top position. Hope this will help you

SOURCE: Singer sewing machine beeps and wont repond to commands.

Sounds like you may have a blockage somewhere in the bobbin area that needs cleaning as this is normally what happens when it gets jammed. Reverse sewing can sometimes cause jams. Remove bobbin area and reassemble.

SOURCE: how do I replace the lightbulb in mu singer model

I looked at your manual and I don't see it listed. But, I would call Singer at 1-800-4singer customer service and ask, that is very strange. I think you may have to pop off the little white cover and loosen the screw on the top side of the machine, but I am not sure. Call them, they are very helpful. Good luck

SOURCE: when sewing curtain fabric together

I looked at your manual (www.singerco.com, customer service) and page 82 gives some good suggestions on tension, I usually use 3 or auto, then you stitch length may be too long. I ended up using metal bobbins on my machine because the plastic ones seemed to jump too much for me. I am not sure if your machine takes a 15 or 15J bobbin. If it is the 15J, I know that a SA 156 does the trick for me. I hope that will help you in some way. If not, call Singer at 1-800-4singer and ask them. . Good luck

I can not turn the wheel to fill my bobbin. And the needle keps trying to sew and after awhile the safety beep comes on how do I fill it.

1. Read and understand your manual. The days of turning a wheel to disengage the needle are pretty much LONG GONE.

2. Put your bobbin on top of the machine where it goes and slide it to the left. This action disengages the needle.

I push the peddle down and all I get is beeping what is wrong with my 7442 singer

I would call Singer at 1-800-4singer and find out. I looked up your manual at www.singerco.com for free and don't see any mention of a beeping sound except on page 28. Your machine is a computerized one, not mechanical.
