There is no compatible driver with Windows 7 for your device .

If it fails , try in compatibility mode : right click on the Genius icon and select
" troubleshoot compatibility " .

on the left side under choose product line select 'Video" "Watch TV on NB" "TVGOa03x" "Windows 7" and press search. download the driver

In a Terminal window, command lsusb in order to list USB devices. Make sure you have it plugged in. If it's recognized it will be listed after that command is entered.

check the battery if still good, if its good check the infra red of the remote.

My solution was to return the device to the retailer and had my money refunded.

for the internal TC turner, there are 2 software you need to install. one is the tc turner driver (software that runs the TV Turner) and the other is the application. which let you view the TV program.

what is telling me that the hardware is not comparable with you pc.
go to the vendors' web site download the driver and the application software.
open the pc and re seat the PCI card or relocate it to a different slot. install the software.
if it still come up as "fail to initialize hardware" then you need to located the "older" driver for the PCI card.
make sure you un-install what ever software you don't need. there will conflict if you don't
