I have asus M2N68 am-plus mother board. When I switch on the comp. It takes about 10 seconds to show the boot screen. Want to know the reason behind this

hi,
it could be something is slightly loosen up in there. to check your load up time, go to start then right-click on my computer. click on properties. there you will see advance system settings, click on its tab.on the startup and recovery category, click on settings. there you will see how much time does your pc takes to load. if you can open up your pc and make sure that everything is hooked up properly, then switch it back on.

I have pcchips m955g motherboard, comp reboots during

Hi,
If the computer keeps rebooting when you first start it up it is quite possible that the hard drive is broken. It keeps looking for the start up boot sector, but it's broken so it keeps trying again..and again...and well you know.

Mobo power

Hi,
There are jumpers on the motherboard,
check all jumpers are set correctly, as from the user manual, this could be a problem.

check all your front lights are wired properly
power button, reset switch, must be correct too.
double/treble check them before building it.

When i start comp first screen says video bios shadowed and somthing else bios shadowed the machine wont start beyoned safemode screen can't even reinstall windows please help

How old is the motherboard? Open the case and make sure that all cables are connected properly and that the memory sticks are not loose.
If its an old mobo then the battery on the motherboard may be dead and needs replacing - this is what keeps all settings.
Going into bios and resetting to factory conditions may get you back into windows until the next time you turn off again.

Start by checking the power supply with an ohm meter for the proper output. Anything higher or low than one volt means the supply is faulty and will need replaced. This could also be a battery issue, if a fail safe in the battery has engaged. Try removing the battery and see if it works properly on the supply only, if so, then the battery will need replaced. Also, remove the memory, and try each chip one at a time in each slot. A faulty memory chip pr slot can have this effect. If these three check good, then I'm afraid the problem is with the power management system on the motherboard, and unfortunately the motherboard will have to be replaced. Since the light is flashing, this indicates a code. You can find a light and sound codes list for your machine at Dell's support site. This may help in identifying the exact problem area.

Hi im Joan Hall.I have a suggestion. Please check your IDE Cables. When u reboot your computer it should say detecting IDE Cables. If it beeps that usally means that your computer has an error.See if its not the IDE Cables because they will cause your computer to beep and not boot up right.
