SOURCE: poulan bvm pro 200 gas blower not getting gas

As a service center for Poulan products the usual problems for not starting I see is compression or the cylinder has come loose from the crankcase. Compression needs to be 115 psi minimum. If you remove the plastic muffler cover you can see the cylinder-crankcase joint. Wiggle the spark plug to look for any movement at that joint. If there is any movement the cylinder screws are loose.

Poulan has an excellent 2 year warranty and any service center should be happy to repair it under warranty for any problem.

SOURCE: I have a Poulan Pro Blower PPB2000LE rope came

It is not a question of clockwie or not, it depends on the direction of rotation of the engine, they are not all the same.

*wind the rope/spring in the direction that the rope would pull the rope rotor.

1) remove the recoil housing
**NOTE: normally you DO NOT need to remove the rotor pulley or spring to replace the rope. This is the area that causes so many guys a lot of extra trouble

2) locate the string that is left and the hole it is threaded thru

3) determine how much string has broken off of the rope that came out

Note: if more than 1 inch is left, then the rope needs to be replaced

4) after rope is obtained, make sure both ends are melted to a point for easier threading thru handle and rope rotor

5) install the rope (with the handle installed on one end) thru the recoil housing and towards the rope rotor.

6) with the rotor free of tension, route the rope from the groove toward center and up thru the hole. Tie a knot in the end of the rope, leaving a 3/8" tail free.

7) wind the rotor in the direction of what the rope would pull (this will tighten the spring) until the spring is completely wound. remove 1/2 to 1 revolution, and then allow rope to wind onto the rotor until all rope is wound.

8) Pull the rope several times to position rope properly into rotor.
*note : there should be NO droop in the handle after released
If droop is evident, wind the rotor and rope 1 revolution tighter so there is no droop of handle when released

9) when unit is functioning proplerly, re-install housing onto unit

SOURCE: POULAN FEATHERLITE LEAF BLOWER WILL ONLY RUN AT 1/2 CHOKE

Sounds like you will need to clean your carburetor, or rebuild it. Could be some debris in the jets of the carburetor. If the blower is over a couple years old, then I also recommend that you buy and install a new carburetor repair kit, because the diaphragm will get hard and that will cause it to be hard to crank and not run at full speed. Hint: When you clean your carburetor and remove the jet screws, count the number of turns it takes to seat the jets from their original position. That way when you go to put the jets back in, you know how many turns they were in/out. Please rate me, Thanks Good Luck, I hope this helped

How do I fix my Poulan Pro bvm200fe?

If you do indeed have (good)fuel and spark to cylinder, I suggest you remove muffler and clean the internal screen/mesh and carefully scrape off carbon around exhaust port. Do not let debris fall inside engine when cleaning.

Poulan Pro blower PBV 200 when it runs will only keep running on half-choke. I have had the carb serviced every year by a shop who said its the ethanol thats gumming it up. I switched to Ace synthetic...

I have never used, nor heard recommended Ace synthetic fuel. I do believe in synthetic lubricants, and the fuel may be part of the problem. See if you access the H and L mixture screws on the carburetor and adjust them. Here is how that is done:

Remove the existing plug and check the number on the top plug housing. That's thge plug you need. Manuels are usually available for download at the manufacturers web site.
