I turn on my RCA D52W20 tv and all I get is a squeeking noise?

If your model is the D52W20 RCA you dont have a ballast you have a flyback transformer. Locayted on the far left side looking in the rear. Its a 259296 flyback and you can get one at www.tvrepairworld.com the flyback comes with the CD with detailed instructions

The wire comes out by pressing the two tabs in and pulling real hard, You will be happy to know that the replacement IHVT comes with a HV cable since 9 time out of 10 you end up damaging the IHVT cable connection. In any event before checking the IHVT I would suggest looking at CP150, CP120 and CP140 to see if they are puffy, since this is a common problem in this set.

The RCA needs a flyback if its an ITC222 chassis which is waht the D52W20 RCA is. As far as the XBOX you should never play any video games on a rear projection TV as it can cause burn in on the CRTs if it is paused. video games are best played on a direct view, plasma or LCD TV.
