This MP3 player uses a proprietary plugin to encode its music. The plugin only comes in the program RealOne (or RealPlayer...whatever it's called now). The Real software is not very well liked. So unfortunately if you want to use the MP3 player at all, you will have to go to www.realnetworks.com and download their software in order for the player to work.

Best regards,

-Micah

Windows mEDIA PLAYER SAYs my sansae260 is full, but device won't sync. It says no song. I tried to reset, but still says no song

change the usb modes also....MSC will allow you to see the expansion card ( 2Gig E200 series 4gig Fuze) mtp won't.....MTP shows you your music folder in the media folder thats where you put your music plus expansion.....
Delete songs and Format (Helps with trying to delete BAD TRACKS and folders that will not delete full memory(Some ripped CD folders).. Go to my computer scroll to sansa or your MP3 player and open the music folder and open each sub folder and delete Songs manually then delete the folders themselves then format a couple of times hope this works

Got sd card and installed music from computer ,plugged into phone but when i go to music player it shows no songs on card, how ever when put back tocomputer songs show up and play

Your Samsung Hue can only play MP3 encoded files (extension mp3). If you have taken music that has been ripped using the windows media player, the default rip settings put the tracks into windows media audio format (wma) which your phone cannot read. You'll need to find a free wma to mp3 converter and convert your files to load onto your phone. You can also set Windows Media Player to default to MP3 when ripping under the Tools|Options menu item. Look under the RIP tab and change the default format to MP3. If you are already using MP3, it is possible that you are using to high of a Kbs rate on your MP3's in which case you'll need to be sure you rip tracks in a lower Kbs rate (also under the RIP tab in Windows Media Player). Here is a link to a free WMA to MP3 converter...

Sansa e260

The e260 works with microSD cards. Your 4GB card is actually a microSDHC card and won't work in the Sansa.
With a microSD card, simply put music tracks into a folder called "MUSIC". When the card is installed, the Sansa will see the additional tracks.

I subscribed to Yahoo Unlimited Downloads but I cannot put the songs on my Mp3 player I just pruchsed. Why?

Yahoo Unlimited does not download the songs directly to the Mp3 player - you must download the songs to the computer first, and then use Windows Media Player to transfer the songs from the computer to the player. Check your subscription for Yahoo Music - the lower level subscription does not allow you to transfer songs to an Mp3 player - you will have to upgrade the subscription. also, check the individual tracks - I cancelled Yahoo Unlimited because on many songs, you have to pay extra for the song even if you have purchased a subscription.

Philips GoGear mp3

Sounds like the files are DRM copy protected.

You can check for protected tracks.
  • In Windows Explorer, go to the folder where the tracks are stored on your PC.
  • Click on View -----> Details
  • Right click on the header bar in the right hand window and select protected. (If protected is not listed click on More)
  • Tracks will be listed with No or Yes under "protected". Check your non-playing tracks are listed as No, under "protected".
The HDD1830 is not compatible with protected files, although your PC will play them ok.

I could listen to some songs

Prob need to format the player
1. put player in msc mode (settings menu under USB)

2. go to my computer and rightclick on sansa

3. format box: choose quick format

4. format complete, allow player to stay connected to computer for 10 mins

go to sandisk.com and under downloads, download the updater to keep this from happening again, put the updater on your computer so each time you plug it in, it will look for updates

make sure you do not put questionable files on the player such as itunes or mp4, as they will "bad track"

Sansa mp3 player 8gb won't play my songs. ("bad track" is what it says)

I think you need to format your player. Open up my computer, right click the player and click "format"
