Dark screen When I turn on my camera the lcd screen appears dark, although I can still see pictures and things on the screen, they are barely visible. This happened randomly when I turned my camera on a few days ago. I have tried adjusting brightness but nothing changes the screen remains dark...what should I do? :(

Dark screen when I turn on the camera and take pictures.

It looks like the LCD backlight malfunction. Check the backlight voltage, if you have the voltage there, you need to replace the LCD unit, otherwise the main board is defective.

Fuji f20. Led screen dark. Pictures and menus barely visible.

there may be a portion of the menu -> setup that lets you set the brightness of the lcd. i know i can do it on my s5100 so you may be able to do so as well.

Barely visible picture and no sound

2 things the easy fix would be the screen switch is jammed a little circle next to where the door close you will need to pry the switch out and the second fix (your backlight (inverter) is out (better off buying a new unit)

LCD Display Blank

I have a sony cybershot DSC-S650, the LCD was very dark and could not see anything except if I pointed it at a bright object, everything else worked ok. I could take pictures but could barely see them in playback as well.

I took it to Sony authorised repair outlet and was told the CCD was damaged, they charged me USD $55 to repair it (in Quito, Ecuador)

White Screen

  1. Upon startup lens emerges but when screen appears it is white whereas it normally displays whatever the lens sees. When the shutter button is pressed the camera will focus and take a white picture which can be deleted. The camera does not flash although flash is set to automatic and photo taken in a dark room. Camera flashes (weakly) with flash set to manual on. Lens is unobstructed and appears to be perfectly normal. Camera was not dropped. Batteries have been changed.

No picture on lcd screen

I have the same problem but sadly no solution.

As my camera is still under warranty I took it back to Jessops.  The camera is now with Olympus for repair.  The technician in Jessops hazarded a guess that the problem is a broken processor sitting behind the lens and as such the problem is "really bad".

Here's hoping you are still under warranty.

Digital camera faulty

The Dark LCD can mean the backlight has gone down- no repair option here. or A connector to the board has come adrift- Are you sure there are no images being made - have tried? As a try take the camera firmly in your paw and squeeze or flex the casing at the base of the screen area.-This is where the connectors are You make get a re connection. Also tell Fuji Tech Support about this
