Sony has a free program called Sonic Solutions. It stinks to high hell. But it is free.

I strongly suggest you either play the MDs into your computer via the LINE IN, or buy a Behringer UCA202 USB Audio Interface from Amazon for $30 and input the audio digitally via the USB.

That's how I do it.

SOURCE: sony minidisc MDS-JE530 c13 rec error

This could be a solution for your problem, if you get a C13 error it's because of dust on the lens causing TOC read errors. Try blowing out dust using clean compressed air (the kind in the can used for computer maintenance).

You may well be right. Try a different brand of disc.

My sony md player wont read HI mini discs

The 480 is not designed to read HI MDs. If I remember right, it can read them as regular discs.

You can always purchase a HI-MD recorder, if that is important to you.

Is there any other remote that will work with Sony Mini Disc Player & recorder model mds je-320

Most Sony MD remotes will operate most functions on this unit, almost all of the Sony MD remotes are available on ebay even the rare ones.

My sony je 330 will not play lp mini discs is it possible

Probably not.
Towards the end of their development SONY released machines that read and wrote ATRAC-2 and 4 files allowing discs to be compressed to save space and at the same time increase playing times.
The benefits are marginal. Consider the following:-
MD format is already compressed to a degree similar to MP3 with all the loss of fidelity that this entails. Unless you are pure archiving and quality is not an issue, or struggling to play something recorded in long play that you don't have in any standard format I woould personally struggle to recommend long-play mode. You can hear an immediate loss in quality with a crunched less well defined sound.

There is a single benefit and this applies to only a very small number of users out there. If you have a machine capable of encoding these compressed formats, then you can also "upload" tracks in the way you would an MP3 file, using a NETMD enabled SONY device. Again while fast for MD is is desperately slow compared to modern formats. You can lock individual tracks to the disc to prevent accidental erasure, but that is about the limit of the any advantage.
If you have a deck and it plays rejoice in what it can do, remembering these were out of date 15 years ago.

Mds je 510 just recorded a song and now disc is blanc

This is the symptom of a bad recording head, it appears to record and save but you wind up with a blank disc.

Will it play lp

The 330 was a basic unit, I don't think it will play anything recorded in the extended MD recording format. Newer and ES decks do, but check to make certain before buying one.

Can a MDS JE330 play minidiscs recorded by a "hi md" player? most md-players can not.

No. Only Hi-MD players/recorders can play Hi-MD's. They're a later and totally different technical specification. The discs may look superficially similar but it's like trying to play a Blu-Ray disc on a CD player.

Hi MD recording

check out your sharing options on windows media player, DRM can watermark the tracks and make them unusable by other users, or even yourself.
Default is with copy protection, lookmin tools>options>rip music. Almost all audio programs have some version of this available, and only one fair use copy can be made.
