I have a Maytag JETCLEAN EQ. Model is MDB9150AWS. It currently stops running right after the rinse cylce, on a normal wash it has stopeed at the 89 minute mark. It sounds like a pump is trying to startup, but it just does a one second humm and then stops. It keeps **** this, with the humm's being about 2 seconds apart. For a while I could get around this by putting a glass or two of water in, but now it seems to be just stuck permanently.

I had the exact same problem. When the service tech came to look, my husband watched him. There was a disconnected wire to the motherboard which my husband asked can't the tech just reconnect it. The tech stated no, we needed a new motherboard. My husband reconnected the wire using tape for now & the dishwasher is working perfect. My husband is going to get somekind of calk/glue that will work permanently. This should save us from replacing the motherboard for a while. The dishwasher is only about 5 years old! My previous dishwasher was over 20 years old with no repair problems the over 10 years that I owned & used it.
I am looking for the self check test, does anyone know where I can find the instructions how to do it myself? Thank you

Sounds like the control module is out -- cost about $100 (I am on my third). I got a "lifetime" warranty when buying my second one. If you are handy, you can replace it yourself. You can call Bosch to confirm this (I did). It mounts inside the door. Mine is a BOSCH 5316.
The draining problem may mean a clogged drain hose -- you have to check it all the way back to either the main drain or the garbage disposal (if you have one). This may be what forced off the impeller wheel.

Change the circuit board, timer/progrsmer.
Take it out and clean contacts,
Look for burnt circuit line and solder a fine bead carefully on the circuit board, difficult. Use the pot and pan program.

This could be due to 2 problems: not enough water or water is not being pumped hard enough through the system. The 'not enough water' is easy to check - open the door in the middle of a wash cycle. If you have enough water (about 1" or more) then that is probably ok. The 'not pumping hard enough' could be as simple as plugged up filters and holes in the spray arms. Remove the racks and disassemble the lower spray arm and the filter assembly all the way down past the screen. Clean the arm holes, throughly clean the screen, clean everything. Pull the top spray arm and throughly clean the spray holes there. Put it all together and run a cycle. You should see a pronounced increase in the sound of the water spraying around. This should fix your problem - it did for me.

Try this. From what I have found Maytag discontinued the Repair manual but it appears that all MDB and MDC models fell under this one repair manual.

I did check that float sensor and it seems to be in the seat and working correctly. Thanks for the idea though.
