See if you have some paperwork on how to test, etc. located in a plastic bag taped up to the underside of the fridge. Pull the front vent cover off and you should see (feel) a bag taped up there with the test paperwork in it. If you don't have it let us know and maybe I can email it to you.

You have the electronic Beta control and an electric damper door. Though the Beta control usually fails for other reasons, your most likely failure would be the motorized damper door has stick open, or the motor is dead, there is a strong chance that it is blocked with excess frost preventing it from operating. You can turn the main control off located where the display is and listen for the sound of the damper door operating, wait 15 min or so, and turn the fridge back on and listen for the sound of the motor running in the back top of the fridge, if no sounds either way you damper assembly is a good place to start. I dont know if you have a newer or old model(thanks for NOT including model# in your question) but if its fairly new their very likely is a damper door in the upper left corner of the fresh food compartment that opens to let air into the FF compartment when it needs it. That damper (if it has one) is not opening. If that damper is opening..is thier frost build up on back wall of FREEZER? if thier is frost build up its not defrosting automatically ,and that build up frost is blocking air flow into FF section.
Many times a freezer and/or refrigeratordo not work right because of a dirty condenser coil...there are also many otherthings that can go wrong.
If you are hearing a clicking or buzzing then check out thelast two tips.
If your refrigerator is running but warm, then...
Check out these tips that I wrote about that... it is a great place to starttrouble shooting your unit...and something that you can do rather then callinga repair person to do a simple thing for you...
check the damper vent door between the refrige and freezer and make sure its opening up to let cold air from freezer into the refrige, sometimes they freeze up and cant open and close when called upon to do so,if so deice it with a hair dryer, the side being hot is good telling you the compressor is operating correctly
either the evaporator coil is iced up which means the defrost heater is bad,the defrost control is bad or the damper vent door which throttles cold air in isn't opening fully from the freezer to refrige, the evaporator fan isn't running or if electronically operated the main board behind the unit can be bad on these as this board controls all electrical issues
These problems are saying relay/capacitor replacement and if that don't work then compressor replacement.
First change the relay and the compresssor cap. See if you have improvement...if not then you will need to have the compressor replaced.
The process of Refrigeration is for one section to be hot while cooling another section. I.e freezing in one section result in the heat build up and dissipattion else where. Any compressor working properly is going to be quite warm to the point of being hot to the touch when working NORMALLY. There is nothing that you need to do for the continued safe operation of your compressor. If your freezer has ice build up again in the near future your uint is not defrosting properly. If it functions normally after 2 or 3 days of use then you more than likely had a one time buildup of ice usually caused by someone leaving the door partially open
The air that cools the refrigerator section comes from the freezer. The refrigerator temperature control controls the run cycle. You may have to replace or have the thermostat replaced. The temperature control has failed.
well if you keep that damper open im sure everything in your refrig- will freeze is the temp- in the freezer o.k. if you have an ice maker is it working properly because if your freezer does not maintain the right temp your ice maker wont work. if so you might have a bad temp control (thermostat)
