IE7 requires restart when I try to run a CBT with active controls

Following error is displayed

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 7.0.6000.16735 ModName: ntdll.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.2180 Offset: 00018fea

    my internet explorer stops working when asked to open an attatchment or trying to download evev an anti virus windows says its trying to fix the problem but cant

Disable 3rd party browser extensions and then try again.
Disable any toolbars etc...
if no effect try to install Internet Explorer 8.0 or alternate browser like Firefox or Google Chrome

Have any toolbars or new sofware been added recently? If so and you are using Win XP you may want to try a system restore to a previous point before the changes were made or uninstall the toolbars completely. Also disabled all Pop-Up blockers to see if that has any effect.clean up ur registry using reginout

Set Up Error Report:AppName:setup.exe

1. Open Windows Explorer.
2. Follow this path C:\\ Program Files \\ Common Files \\ Install Shield locate the sub
folders Engine and IScript.
3. Rename (Right Click and choose "Rename" both folders example: Engineold &
IScriptold.
4. Close out of Windows Explorer and run setup again.

Scan your computer with Malwarebytes and Superantyspyware which can be downloaded free from the internet. also installed Hijackthis and then remove all the BHO and no name items. Restart the computer and you will not get the error any more

If you are using acrobat professional, uninstall the application completely.clean the registry using some registry cleaning software (tune up utilities for example). Restart the machine. Reinstall acrobat professional.
