Question about Kenmore 17439 Built-in Dishwasher

Water tower The water tower came off of my Kenmore Ultra Wash III dishwasher. I cannot figure out how to get it back on. There is a gasket on the water arm. Does the water tower actually go on top of the bottom rack? And if so, then how?

I had the same problem finding a Water Tower laying in the bottom of the dishwasher. Solution is to simply lift the bottom rack and insert the tower into the center-most square hole. Twist the tower with the large lip on the bottom of the rack and the two plastic pieces will overlap two sides of the square hole. It will come lose again in time, but just reset it again.

I have a kenmore ultra wash III that recently began leaking in the back. I went into the basement and saw a moderate stream of water coming down the wall. I am assuming the water feed pipe is either...

If you want to reach the back, you probably have to pull out the machine.
it's usually screwed into the underneath of the counter, so if you open the door and look underneath the edge of the counter, you should see where are the screws.
just be careful not to drop them into the machine while you hold the door ajar and unscrew them.

Water leaks from the bottom door

The gasket that surrounds the door will fix it. If that's what you ordered, it'll be taken care of upon installation.

Kenmore Ultra Wash dishwasher

check and see if you are getting ac 110 volts to your water vave when trying to start the unit. if no power check your breakers and /or the incoming power to your dishwasher if they are ok and show 110 voltage coming to the unit then you probably have a control board or touchpad problem which would need a little more detailed check out.
If you do have ac 110 to your water valve then you may just have a bad water valve. Because the washer has to fill first. Hope that helps!!

Water flow does not stop.

The water inlet valve has gone bad. Depending on what the water was either hot or cold I would be safe and just replace both of them. You can get them at your local appliance store or at repairclinic.com. They are located behind the back panel of the washing machine right where the hoses connect to the unit

Kenmore dishwasher, water not going through the jets

when you hear the motor running during the wash cycle, check to see if the washer is actually draining instead of washing. this would indicate a stuck open drain valve. (the same motor/pump that washes the dishes, also drains the unit)

Kenmore Ultra Wash III Dishwasher will not drain properly

Fixerfailure, is the knock-out plug still inside if the garbage disposal inlet?

Stick a screwdriver in there to make sure.

spazmo1969, could be the rubber flapper is broken off in the pump discharge outlet.

Kenmore Ultra Wash III Dishwasher will not drain properly

From the sound of things, your dishwasher drains faster than your sink drain ( via the garbage disposal) can drain it off.. You may have a problem with the way your sink drain/trap is vented and there is too much back pressure to drain down quickly.. When you run water from your sink, does it take a long time to drain down or if you fill your sink up and drain it, does it drain slowly ? That may be your problem.. Hope that helps.
