The hum is probably the alternator on its way out and is not charging the battery but check ur belt and make sure not to loose if u drive to one of the local auto stores most of them [like advanced auto-auto zone ]can do a free test on both and advise if replacement or repair needed

Might be strange but it sounds like the alternator might have died.

SOURCE: battery not keeping charge - replaced

best and easiest way to test the alternator is to take it to an auto parts store... they will test the battery and charging system for free so that they can try to sell you parts

Sears will charge like $30 but give you that money back towards the price of the repair

without a load tester there is not much you can do to test the charging system correctly

You may check for corrosion on your battery terminals, if corrosion is present then disconnect the cables and clean the corrosion. If thats not the case then just check to make sure that your terminal is connected tightly to the battery post. I recently had this trouble on my brothers spyder and no matter how tight i got the terminal it still would move when i pulled on it so I just went to the parts store and bought a new terminal for $6.99 and had it running again in 10 minutes.

Sounds like you have a bad ground for your brakes lights. I would start by checking the light terminals in the back for damage, corrosion, or even burn marks. If you do find some they those terminals need to be replaced. There will also be a ground wire with a nut or bolt in the area around the light make sure it is also clean and free of corrosion and verify it is tight.

Won't start twice in a row. Starts/stalls.

Have the fuel system pressure checked especially after you start and stop the engine. If the system loses pressure immediately, you have a problem with loss of residual pressure caused by a check valve or equivalent.

2006 Kia Rio will not turn over

the timing belt will not have anything to do with the motor turning over trying to start. First make sure u do have a very strong battery. Could be a bad connection or a broken wire to starter also.

2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee temp gauge high when heat is on

If your "check engine" light is turn on, I suggest scanned the PCM to know exactly what fault code is stored there. Additionally, could be some problem with the "temp sending unit".

Radiator fan does not go on some times.

Probably a faulty relay or fan on it's way out. Check with key off, battery disconnected & see if it wobbles or is hard to turn at all. Should move freely. Relay should be labeled in power distribution box, or fuse/relay box under hood.
