I am having issues connecting my Ask Proxima c180 projector to my Macbook Pro and my Macbook. When I turn on the projector it searches but doesn't find my laptop. My macbook pro recognizes the projector but my macbook does not. I do not know what is wrong. I'm hooking a VGA from Computer 2 and connecting it to my macs with an adapter. Does anyone know what the problem might be and how I resolve it?

I really doubt you'll find a generic power supply for this unit. I can repair this power supply for you at a low cost. I repair power supplies. My ebay ID is Gtitubro

these projectors have a habit of overheating and causing main board problems. it may need upgrading.

if there is no amber led, the power supply is bad. if you have an amber led and the button won't work, there is an obstruction under the button panel. if the led is red and no fans come on, the fans or the power supply is bad. if the fans come on but no light, the colorwheel is bad.

C160 has M1-DA connector. You need an adapter.
Try this or Google it.

if you know your lamp is good, make sure the connection on the lamp housing and the connector on the lamp itself are actually connected. sometimes when the lamp is installed the connection on the lamp housing is pushed out and the connection is not actually made. you can also reset the lamp hours and see if that works.
