Screen goes blank when capture button is pushed

I turn camera on. Aim. Push the button and screen goes blank. The whole camera appears to be off, except the lens stays open.

Seems to be a problem with the camera and the batteries. It thinks the batteries are dead but they aren't, this is the problem I am having with my camera, I'm going to try new batteries and see if there is a Firmware upgrade.

DV-136ZB can't take pictures to my computer.

Are you trying to transfer videos from your camcorder to the computer, or use the camcorder to create pictures directly on the computer ?

How do I use the print screen feature? When I press the ''print screen'' button I can't paste it into my email message.

you have to hold down either the CNTRL button OR the ALT button while you push print screen. One will capture the whole desktop and the other will capture only the active window.

My camera's monitor/screen is black with no picture

My AIPTEK 1080p was powering on but the screen was turning off within one second of turning the unit on. I verified that the camera was still working and just the output onto the screen failed. I was able to resolve this by hooking the camcorder up to the TV and viewing the menus on the TV and then turning the camcorder off with the power button. I think this problem happened because I didn't do a "clean" shutdown the last time I had my aiptek hooked up to the TV. It is now working perfectly!

Camera does not go on

Lens errors (E18 errors on Canons) are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

Blank Screen

Looks like CCD sensor problem. If this is the case your camera will work fine in playback mode but not in capture mode. Sensor has to be replaced.
