SOURCE: Beeping Sewing Machine

Your problem is most certainly with the buttonhole switch. Firstly: Look if the buttonhole lever, left back of machine, is push up in position. The beeping sound is a warning message. Secondly Remove the light cover, left of the machine, loosen back screw and remove left hand screw completely. Check for a small black electric switch, follow the brown and green elecrtic wire, just back of the light. If you push the BH lever up and down the switch finger should also move up and down. If it stays down, the machine will not work and give a beeping sound. If the switch finger is stuck, push it up with the BH in top position. Hope this will help you

SOURCE: electronic sewing machine (singer 7442) will not sew buttonhole

Ensure that you have the buttonhole lever all the way down until it doesn't go down anymore. This might sound like a silly fix, but it's actually one of the most common mistakes made by people using this(and other automatic buttonholing) machine.

Singer confience stylist beeps four time and won't let me sew

The beeps usually indicates that your machine is not ready to sew which probably means a function has been left in the activated mode, ie bobbin winder, buttonhole function, etc. . Here are some ideas:

I have a Singer model 9910 and am not able to make a buttonhole on the setting for #61. The buttonhole seems to be inserted properly and the foot is lowered but the machine just beeps and will not sew.

Re your buttonhole foot - please note the following:

- This foot comes with a metal underplate.

- Place the fabric between the foot and the underplate.

- I am assuming that you have the buttonhole lever pulled down.

-Note: The silver coloured buttonhole lever is directly behind the needle threader. Pull it all the way down.

-When u have all the above in place, start the buttonhole. When it finishes the first side, gently push the foot back, so it reverses. I know this sounds strange, but if you have slightly bent the underplate you will need to do this.

- The directions are in the manual on page 60.

Hi I'm trying to get some new bobbins for my Quantum 9910 and have found some 66k bobbins which they say fit all singer machines. Is this true or do I need a different type? Thanks

The bobbins are generally interchangeable between singer models.

You have to watch out for the bobbin case though as this is the one specific to model families.

Hope this helps.
