My 4 year old dropped my JVC GR-D32U Mini-DV cam on hardwood floor! At first all seemed well, and I was relieved ... until it came time to eject tape. The tape plays fine ... it jusy wont come out! The "Open/Eject" buttom wiggles from right to left, and it will not allow the tape to be ejected. Is this an affordable (<$100.00) fix or is a new camera in order???
You cannot tell if the switch for the eject is broken on the printed circuit boar, or the switch knob may only be internally broke unless you take the camcorder apart. I have seen just the knob break off inside and this know is only a few bucks + the labor, and thats what ia going to cost the most.
