Question about Jenn-Air JDS9865BDP Stainless Steel Dual Fuel (Electric and Gas) Kitchen Range
I just got my range two weeks ago and successfully preheated to convect bake. I went to set the timer and accidentally hit 8 hours instead of 8 minutes and hit cancel instead of back or timer again. Now my key pad it totally locked up and nothing will unlock it. HELP. Did I do something when I hit cancel.
your correct the only difference between a regular oven and a convection oven is that it has a fan.when you open the oven door the fan should be spinning to a stop if this is not the case you may have a problem with the fan.

Put an oven thermometer in the oven on convection bake and check the actual temp inside. I'll bet it's not maintaining the correct temp in convection.

Looking at the schematics and the info you have provided the issue you are having is in the control panel Having the control take some of your commandsand not others, demonstartes the control is bad.
In most cases this is the most common reactions of a control board. The control will not very often completely go bad but just some of the options.
The control board is made of of circuits and relays. Each relay is responsible for different functions. In most cases the relay is what goes bad.
