Im thinking you have to reset it, you might lose contacts but my sister reset her phone and it was better than having to pay to get access to her phone.
There is nothing you can do about that, the LCD screen has been cracked. There is a liquid inside the LCD screen that is the black globs that you describe. You cannot replace it, you can still take pics with it ....or you will have to purchase a new one.
Very sorry about your luck.Thank you for trying Fixya!
I have been buying and repairing razrs for a month now and know how to do this well first of all you will need a t6 screwdriver to take out the 4 screws then you need to seperate the housing with a credit card or somthing thin it may be a little tight but dont worry about it breaking it will come off some have two little flex cables connected and some have one check yours and disconnect then carfully pull your lcd out and put your new one in.
My sister had the same problem with her Razr. There was nothing she could do herself. She had to return it to the telephone company where she got it. I beleive they sent it to Motorola. It seems to be a pretty common issue. It's hardware related though.

It sounds like a cable inside the phone has either come loose or has been broken, which is rather common with RAZRs. You will need to either open the phone up and find the faulty cable, or drop it off at a shop for a quick, cheap repair.
