Hello, this guy doesnt know what hes talking about ive been fixing razr for some time now and selling them on ebay, so this is a really easy fix hes right you have a promble with the flex cabe the main one to the screen, what you need to do is remove the battery+Cover and and the two screws that hold the back part of the phone which were the main brain is, once that is open you will see the main flex cable that heads up to the main screen, that is the one you want to look at if you look under what that sits on its the shiny part, this is kinda hard to discribe, but all you have to do is bend that peice that it sits on up so that it get a concetoin. hope you understand, if you want i can send you picture step by step. email me at [email protected]

There is 1 or 2 flex cables in the phone on the flip part. ( display board) you an check & make sure those are properly seated. open the flip you will find 1 small round piece of rubber in each corner underneath is a torx 5 or 6 screw. remove those. then very gently using a flat screwdriver. pry appart the phone. u must start at the hinges. on both. sides. with the screws out, only 4 clips hold the cover on. hope this helps.

When you flip phone open inside screen stays white

Moto RAZR phones are notorious for this. Best thing to do - Get a new phone. Inside of the hinge, there is a sensor that detects if the phone is open or shut. When you open the phone, it still thinks its closed, so the screen stays white, and if im correct the outside display should still work. Pretty much not-fixable unless you know someone who can take it apart and re-position the sensor (will void the warranty)

Best thing to do....Upgrade.

Motorola razr

doris Terry - you need to have the screen replaced on the first phone, the second one you bought from e-bay you need to do a master clear and rest on the phone....if that does not work try to have the phone firmware reflash from a mobile store technician.

Motorola RAZR V3 Cellular Phone

Ok so when I close my phone I still see the time and my background picture but no light immanates (hope I spelled that right)from the screen if thats what your saying that's normal. Now as far as the inside screen if you dropped it the connection that lets the phone know it's closed may be jarred lose and offset (not sayin u dropped it)although you say it dims. When you close your phone the inside screen should turn white and then turn off just barely have your phone open to check, if it does this then the connection is working. And you need another opinion.
