Handycam downloading I purchased a Sony Handycam. I have two Macs and had to purchase additional software to be able to download. My problem is: is there a way to set the handycam so that when I download the clip it does not take forever? I am downloading a two minute clip and it is still downloading after 65 min. Please Help Paula

Are you using a USB or FireWire. If you're using USB, that may be why it is so slow. Using a FireWire, you can download in real time!

How to download video tapes from sony handycam dcr 32 to desktop computer

Hi there,

You will need to connect the Handycam to the desktop computer using the cable that was supplied with the product when purchased. You will also need to install the software that came on a CD/DVD with the Handycam when purchased. This will allow you to "rip" the video from the tape to your hard drive on your desktop computer.

I lost the CD that came with my sony handycam dcr trv38 so I cannot get my videos onto my computer because the software was never installed, is there anyway that I can download a free trial of the software...

Go to esupport.sony.com there they list all there drivers for there products. Hope this helps.

you have to use the software included when you purchased the camcorder. you have to stream the videos like you're recording it on the computer.

The application and drivers are not installed properly, reinstall the software from the CD along with the handycam. Its just a software problem.Or click here to download the required software.
