There's no Video on the monitor except OSD. In the OSD manual, I tried to check the Brightness & Contrast, it shows -1 and I was not able to adjust it.

Took my monitor to one of the Philips Authorize Repair Shop, they fixed for me. He upgraded the firmware and charged me $70.

No video image on LCD but OSD works

Sounds like you may have a bad video cale or a dmaged or bentpin in the connector, remove the cable from the monitor and look at the pins on the connector

OSD LOCK

Normally the OSD lock will only be displayed for 5 seconds.
Regardless you should be able to get rid of it by pressing holding the up arrow key for 10 seconds.
If this fails to resolve the issue try this. Disconnect power cord. Now press and hold button 1. Plug the power cord back in. You may have to press the power button while still holding button 1. The OSD lock should clear after that.
Hope this helps.

Gateway fpd2275w monitor is making a burning smell

Your monitor is broken. If it is still under warranty see if you can send it back to phillips. If it isn't you will problably have to get a new one. This problem may have been caused by a liquid getting into the monitor.

Monitor only stays on for 3 seconds

There is probably a bad capacitor within the monitor that will not allow the picture to "hold" in the on configuration. This will need to be replaced. You can send it back to Phillips, or 17" monitors are pretty cheap these days. I would suggest a Samsung or BenQ. They both carry 3yr warranties.

No Video

Did you take the monitor out and put it back in before the pin was bent? Or did it just all of a sudden blank out.
