ok..idk if this will work but it might...first turn off the sansa...then turn the hold switch on (it should turn red). hold down the record button on the side of the player..then while still holding that hold the power button down...but keep holding them untill a screen shows up saying something about recovory mode..itll say to plug in the usb..u could do that..idk it that will work..it it doesnt instead of plugging in tthe usb in the computer..wait about 15 seconds after the recovory mode screen shows up and then hold down the power button for about 15-20 sec...then itll go all black (including the blue light) press the power button again like u would to turn it on...and everything should be back to normal..hope this helps...:)
There is no such thing as a stupid question. Plug Sansa as you normally do.
Go to My Computer, and click on the removable drive that holds your Sansa's data. If you don't see the video folder that means it's invisible. To make your invisible folder visible click on Tools on the top of your window. From there select Folder Options... A new window should open up and click on the View tab on new window. Look for Hidden Files and Folders on this list and select Show Hidden Files and Folders.
You should be able to see your Video folder now, and the rest is up to you.
My sansa 260 has had the blue ring glowing and no screen for a while and I tried all the repair software and none of it worked because my sansa would not connect to my computer. I used the 15 second trick to turn it off, put it on hold then opened the back. Above the battery in the back is a black rectangle which was out a little so I pushed it back in took the battery out and put it back in and when i closed it and turned it on the screen was back! Works perfectly now
