Sorry to say the thing crashed and burned,luckily the warranty covered all but a 25.00 labor fee. After contacting creative they put me thru a four email rigamarole before issuing a RMA#,then another month to get it back. Good Luck

You firstly should make sure about you dont have some autorun virus in
your player.I had the same problem and i fortunately discovered an
autorun virus in my player.I cleaned it and i started it in recovery
mode.then i updated the firmware.it began working.you should try
that.you can find the firmware upgrade program on creatives
