My PC freeze and restart while I play ANY strategy game

HI, I have a intel DG31PR mainboard, 2.2ghz core2duo, 2gig Samsung ram, Forsa 8500GT 512mb pci-e card. When I play strategy games( CnC Tiberium wars, Red Alert3, Generals, Company of Heroes,even Warcraft3 etc) my pc freeze(with a repeating drumming sound) and restarts. Tried XP and Vista Ultimate. Newest vid drivers. The thing is, it's only strategy games. Crysis, Farcry2, Brothers in Arms and other fps games execute smooth. Please help coz I'm a strategy fan..

    same thing i got xfx geforce 8600 gt 1gb card. i cant play world of warcraft cuz my computer freezen why something wrong my card or computer ?

Its still freezing... i reinstalled all games i play... my pc freezes while i play wow, counter strike and even smallest games which doesnt ask for pc 2 be that good to play em.... gforce 8600 2gb ram all good ... u guys should try registry cleaners... they might help... try getting argente registry cleaner... its tottaly free, for other registry cleaners u got to pay...

graphics wise this card does support the minimum system requirement but i am not sure about your processor. Can you please update your processor model.

Minimum system requirement for this game are: Core2duo 2.66ghz processor, 2 Gb ram and Gforce gt 545.

You we`re right there is no drivers for windows 7.

But you can add a graphic card on the mainboard
compatible with windows 7.

I will recomend the nvidia gtx series.

Consider to add more memory if you planning to playing games.
At least 2 gigabytes of ram

The maximum this motherboard can support is a total of 4Gb DDR2 RAM.

The maximum each of the 2 RAM slot can take is 2Gb.

I'm using DG31pr motherboard with intel core2duo processor,, my pc is not starting when i restarted it... the red led is not turning on after restarting the pc & 3beep sounds are coming frm board and...
I think this is due to dust inside the PC

Try the following
  1. Check that all the fans are working
  2. Take out the RAM and clean the RAM and the RAM slot and intall it back
  3. Clean the IDE connector that connects the Harddisk to the Motherboard
this should solve your problem

you can buy DG31PR,GL / DG45PR these series mother board but you have to change your processor too with core2 duo 2ghz series, if you want to upgrade the RAM to 4GB means this is the only way have to change the following specifications (DG31 or DG 41 series board, core2duo procc,SATA seagate hard disk 500GB, 4GB RAM) this is the complete solution .

do a fresh intall on another hard disk and then install driver and game see if it works if it does drivers if not ram.

If your mobo wasn't compatible with your video card, you wouldn't get a screen at all.
Yes upgrade your directx to 10
and yes upgrade your power supply to a 650Watt or greater.
The problem is most likely that you have a low wattage PSU and
when your vcard request more power to run higher graphic games than the
Windows Interface, your computer shuts down because it doesn't have enough power to give.
