Printer labels do not line up with document as typed in Word using the Avery set label size. I type labels for Christmas cards. Previous years have had no trouble at all on other printers but now top of page is OK but half way down the labels are then out of lignment. My printer is an HP C4180 all-in-one.

The only way I could get round it was to type one page of the labels, then print on plain paper. Check with label size then go back to screen and individually change the labels that were misaligned. Then when I printed on to a label page it was correct. Time consuming but at least I didn't waste any labels that way, only paper.

Set up a mail merge for labels avery L7162, but the printer prints them a different size - Printer is HP M3035. It is something not set up on the printer

You will need to feed these through the manual tray and you should set the paper size and type to match this label. The avery site shows this as an A4 label sheet. If you are in North America the default on this printer is letter size not A4.You should also ensure that you have configured the print driver correctly when you go to print.

How do you type and print Avery labels 74520? I have lost the instructions which came with the labels.

This can be done with settings through your word processing program. Assuming you are using Word:

Microsoft Word 2007
The newest version of Microsoft® Word now includes hundreds of Avery Templates for labels, business cards, dividers and more.

Find Avery Templates by selecting the Mailing tab at the top of the Microsoft® Office Word screen. Just choose Create > Labels > Options > Avery US Letter, then choose your template by selecting the correct Avery Product Code.

Access Pre-Designed Avery Templates that are available from Office Online by selecting the round Office button at the top left of the screen, selecting New and then choosing the Avery product type. Pre-designed templates for Avery business cards, greeting cards, dividers, labels, note cards and postcards are available.

Avery Wizard for Microsoft Office is a free download which inlcudes step-by-step instructions to format Avery labels. Trust this is helpful. :)

Problems with avery mac label expert

To reset the size in your printer to the correct A4 size, do this:
Go to your Applications folder on your hard drive.
In it, you will find a Utilities folder.
Inside that folder, you will find a folder called "Printer Setup Utility."
Inside THAT folder, you will find a list of printers you have connected to your Mac.
Click on one. You will see, at the top of your screen, a set of menus. Click on the "Printer Setup Utility" menu at the far left.
Choose "Preferences" from the drop-down list.
You will see a dialog box with three options: Printing, Sharing, and Faxing. If Printing is not automatically displayed, click on the Printing tab.
At the bottom of the Printing dialog box, you will see another pull-down menu: "Default paper size in page setup"
Choose A4, or whatever size you wish.
Close up all the boxes, and print your labels to your heart's content.
When you're done with your labels, don't forget to repeat this process to switch your printer back to your ordinary size paper.
Hope this helps.
