Release scanner lock switch - Canon PIXMA MP830 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Hi ,
Disconnect your unit from your pc ( usb and power)
Insert your install cd and run the program
Restart your pc
When Windows has settled , connect scanner back to pc .
It should run normaly .

You need to buy a new scanner.

Issue: ERROR LCD: Release the scanner lock switch and turn the power off and back on.

Solution: Unlock the scanner lock switch

The scanner must be unlocked before turning the unit on.

Turn off the power.

Lift the document cover.

The scanner lock switch is on the left hand side of the underside of the document cover.

Slide the scanner lock switch to the release mark (an open padlock icon).

Lock the switch before transporting.

Close the document cover.

Turn the machine on.

If machine still is not working repeat the power off / on cycle waiting 5 seconds in between.

-is this a new scanner? is this the first time you are trying to scan?
if you answer yes to any of this questions, please check underneath the scanner, find the latch to release the scanning head.

Look on the bottom of the unit for a sliding switch that shows an icon of an open padlock on one side, and a locked padlock on the other.

There is a switch on the underside on the scanner. This is the lock switch. Flipping it should solve your problem.

lift the document feeder cover, the lock switch is on the far left side of the scanner glass.

The scanner lock is locked pls unlock it dude...

Hi muffin, Turn off the machine, open the document cover, and then release the scanner lock switch. You'll see it. Any other problems let me know. Peace, Dude
