TV shuts off after 30 seconds to a couple minutes. Red power light then blinks. Power cord must be unplugged to turn it back on. When TV is turned on, the picture is tinted white, but image is marginally visible. Also, picture has horizontal and nearly horizontal lines (almost banded). Sound is fine. Menu is functional but too blurred to read. Each video mode behaves the same. Other TV picture is fine, so cable appears fine.

Not acutally a solution. We are having this EXACT same problem; it started this week. Let us know what you are having done. I've called Toshiba and service reps but they are all quoting a price which is almost half the value of the tv. Have you been able to fix it? We are pretty upset since the 2year warranty recently expired. Obviously, it seems that others are having this problem as well. Email us: [email protected]

I have the same problem as frazeejd. White lines and powers off after a few minutes. I might just give in and buy a new set..:(
