Have had the range for over a year--recently, if the oven is not lit just right, the burner goes out. sometimes it will light on the second try, and sometims it won't light again.
also with the oven burner, if you use the oven once during the day or evening, then shut it off, then try to light it again later (even an hour or two later), it won't light again.
so is something wrong with our unit? or is there some kind of safety or emergency shut off that happens automatically? this is a big problem if you can't use the oven more than once per day, or if you have to just keep it on if you want to use it more than once in a day (i.e., making dinner and baking cookies in the same evening). please advise!

when the lp conversion is done , it is normally just a jet size change that is done
however the air shroud has to also be adjusted to get a clean blue burn of the flame
The just jet change results in a slightly yellow flame which is incomplete burn of the gas and that creates carbon build up at the jet and burners causing partial blockage
I would suggest that you call in an accredited gas fitter to check the problem and if necessary , clean the jets and adjust the air shroud
Sometimes the pilot light goes out on this type of oven. This could be caused by a draft, or sudden jolt. Even if the top burner is working, the bottom won't go on until the pilot is lit. Check your manufacturers' instructions for locating and re-lighting the pilot.
Best of luck.
If you have a burner lit and gas build up, strong smell etc., my advice would be to stop using the oven immediately! You no way gas should come out, build up, to the point you smell it, Especially while a burner is lit. Dangerous condition.
All of these ranges have a spark module at each burner sight and they all click when ever you attempt to light one burner. Therefore, it can not be assummed that the spark module for those nonworking burners are actually clicking. Remove the burner covers and actually look for the sparks. If there is no spark make sure the connections are nice and tight. IF they are, you most likely need to replace the spark module.
Hello and welcome, If your range has electronic igniters, then you seem to have one or more bad igniters on top of the range if you have a pilot range then you have a gas restriction or clogged orifice tube. Even if they make the click noise while trying to light they may not get hot enough to draw the gas on a constant speed!
This will need to be diagnosed hands on at your location. But this is the fault!
Thank you for using fixya. Huum Please remember to leave a solved rating before you leave!
I have fix that problem before, the oven heat is soficating the top burners, you will have to adjust top burners with the oven on, so that they will light by them selfs.Or put a shield under the cook top section on the back, so that the heat will not come to the burners where they get the oxigen.
We have a 24-inch Avanti range -- and the oven will not stay lit. This stove/oven is a piece of caca.
