Just bought a 2 yr old Samsung TX-P3271H. There is a fairly loud 'boing' (or electronic thud noise) when the TV is first turned on that lasts only a second - then everything is fine. No such noise if the TV is turned off an on while warm. Is this normal or something to worry about? Thanks
That is not the boost up voltage, but what is called the degaussing coil circuit activating everytime the set is started up from a cold start or being shut off for awhile. this is perfactly normal my friend so dont worry about it as if it does not make that noise, you will most likely get color blotches on the face of the picture tube. Good Luck with your TV set.
