Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDI02FRSS Stainless Steel Built-in Dishwasher
I have the Kudi02frss diswasher it is about 5 years old. The button for "Baked on Cookware" has stopped working. The other cycles work fine. The button itself is in excellent condition. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
I had a similar problem with a KUDS01... model. The Baked on
cookware and the high temp switches did not operate. The normal light would come on but the
machine would not run. I opened the front
to expose the timer/controls. There was
quite a bit of debris around the circuit board and micro chips. I vacuumed out as much as I could and loosened
some with a tooth brush and blew it out with compressed air. When I powered it back up all buttons worked and the machine
worked.

The Button is part of a switch control (all the buttons are individual switches) - take the switch block out of the door and test the button (switch)for circuit continuity, if it is OK, then the timer control may be the problem. My machine had progressive failures through the various cycles until most do not work and it wa the timer that was failing bit by bit.
