Washer will wash but not spin

I have a maytag neptune model # MAH5500BWW bought in 2002 it will wash and and drain but not spin, WHY?

Sounds like the control board is bad. take the back panel off the control panel and look at the R11 resistor and see if it burnt. If it is replace the control board and the door wax motor (in the locking mechanism)

Yes you need a new control board. The fact that the motor and impeller was damaged and loosened. You should try taking your Washer in for maintenance check or call the repair man.

Won't drain or spin and the motor isn't running

Sounds like you need a motor controlboard if so big $ The cause is the wax motor was faulty back when they where made and caused alot of greaf.There is a kit you can buy cheak with your local parts place to find out more
