The dishwasher will probably heat the water the rest of the way for you. depending on the specs and features.
hot water is not likely an issue with the dishwasher itself.
you could have cold water plumbed to the unit by mistake.
also, it could be that it is not fully pumping out, and the water going in is mixing with water in the sump.
try running it for few minutes and then pump it out. start a new cycle and see if you are getting hot water. if not, then at try to confirm that the unit is heating the water on its own. run it for about half a cycle and check the water temp again.
you do need hot water to clean in most units.
for certain this is a plumbing problem that is delivering cold water. and if its not heating, make sure that it should be per manufacturers specs, and call for repairs if its not heating the water.
good luck

Heater takes more than 1 minute to get water to kit faucet , then temp fluctuates

1) Guesses: Sounds like a bad single-handled faucet cartridge, or low water flow at faucet, or clogged water filter.
Replace faucet cartridge, clean the aerator, and/or clean sediment out of pipes below sink, and clean water filter at tankless unit each month.

2) For exact measure of problem:
Typical faucet can have 2 gallon per minute flow rate.
2 gpm flow rate means faucet fills 1 gallon container in 30 seconds. Test faucet using 1 gallon container and a cooking timer to get flow rate.
Clean aerator to improve flow rate. Compare kitchen flow rate with other faucets in home.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Low-hot-water-pressure.html

Most homes have 1/2" diameter pipe running to kitchen faucet.
100 feet of 1/2" diameter pipe holds 1.2 gallons of water. This assumes no sediment build-up inside pipes.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Water-heater-recirculation-system.html

Assuming only hot is turned on: If faucet is 100 feet away from water heater, and pipe diameter is unobstructed 1/2" diameter, and faucet has 2 gallon per minute water flow, then hot water should arrive in 36 seconds.
50 feet away, and hot water should arrive in 18 seconds.

If kitchen has single handled faucet, and the handle is raised in the middle, then equal amounts of hot and cold water are drawn at same time. This doubles amount of time for hot water to arrive.

If single handle faucet has a bad cartridge, then faucet can have crossover.
Crossover means that cold water can enter the faucet even if faucet is turned to hot.
Bad single-handled faucet cartridge can delay or stop the arrival of hot water.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Crossover.html

Tankless require maintenance including cleaning combustion parts yearly, de-lime heat exchanger frequently, and clean water filter each month.

Clean light flashing on dishwasher

if you have a whirlpool/ kenmore dishwasher and the clean light is flashing 7 times then pauses and then repeats, it is a problem with the heating circuit.
follow this keypad operation: push the high temp wash, air dry, high temp wash, air dry. this will put the unit into a service mode and it will run a short diagnosis cycle. after it gets done, about 5-7 minutes, then it will reset and allow you to use the unit again.
make sure the water is hot enough at your faucet at least 120 degrees, and the door is getting closed tight.

No hot water on Moen single handle shower faucet. cold ok and shut off is fine

do you have hot water elsewhere? if not, might be that your water heater is not heating.
if you do have hot water elsewhere, did you let the faucet run for a minute or 2.
did you have hot water before? is this a new house? new valve?
need a little more detail.
on posi temp valves, if there were no water coming out of the hot side of the valve, the valve will not operate.

Dishwasher issues

You should always turn the hot water faucet at the kitchen sink first before starting dishwasher. If you don't your entire wash is cold water. This will also cause the water temp mode to take forever to heat the water to the 140 that is factory set. Hope this helps.

My dishes are not cleaning no matter what cycle i try

If water is spraying as it should, and you are using adequate detergent, then most suspect is your water temp is too low.

Run your kitchen faucet till hot before running the dishwasher if this is the case.

Also use of a sheeting agent like JetDry may help.

Runs too long

the water going into the unit needs to be 120 degrees for it to work correctly. the D/W is trying to heat the water up to 120 degrees. it will heat a degree a minute. depending on what the temp is in the washer. try turning on the hot water first before you turn the dishwasher on. verify that the water is 120 degrees coming out from the faucet.

Dishwasher runs for a long time

If your dishwasher's cycle times are too long, check these:

Water pre-heating
Cycle not completing
Water pre-heating Yourdishwasher may pre-heat the water. If so, and if the water entering thedishwasher is cool, the heater may take up to half an hour to heat thewater.

To avoid the wait, increase the incoming watertemperature before turning on the dishwasher. Do that by running thekitchen sink faucet until the water runs hot. Or increase thetemperature of the hot water to the entire house at the hot waterheater.

Warning! To lessen the risk of scalding, don't set the hot water heater temperature higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
