H700 Problem My H700 works great, people can hear me clearly and the battery life is great. One issue I have is that the headset will not alert me with the ring/tone when I receive an incoming call. Any solutions?

So sorry to hear that, let me tell you that we don't longer manufacture those devices but if you are able to find a battery in a third party site like Amazon or best buy.
The average life of a Bluetooth Earpiece is usually a few years. When you are having symptoms like you are describing it usually means that the Blutooth headset is at the end of its service life. You might want to cintact Motorola and see if they will Warranty them.
Hi there , to solve this proble since you have the headset over 18 months you need to change the internal battary the life time for these handset battery up to 24 months try to replace it by take it to cellphone shop and im sure you be happy.
Try taking a small needle and gently clearing out the mike hole near the end of the boom. Anything I am outside and sweating a lot mine will clog up and I have the same trouble until I clean it out and then it's fine. Do not insert the needle in very far, all you need is to clear the outside opening a bit.
The rechargeable battery may have reached it's limit of recharges. You can try leaving it on until you no longer see life (any light) coming from the H700. You want to drain it completely. Than charge it, (take note of how long it takes to reach full). If it dies like before in 15 minutes than the H700 is dead. You can take it to a Motorola store & might be able to exchange it for less than you first bought it. Or you can go here (Click the link) for a new one. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/search.asp?keywords=Motorola+H700&image12.x=13&image12.y=15
its probably very cost effective to replace it at www.n1wireless.com about 30 bucks The leads that connect the folding mic are probably broken moving parts with contacts usually have a limited life.
I think its a compatability problem also. you may have to get a headset specifically designed for Centro or try a plantronics headset they work great www.n1wireless.com
