Re: No picture or sound, just a click every few seconds.
I have the same problem with my tv and I posted my problem on experts.com and got a response back saying that I have a spike in my line and its tripping a breaker within the set and that since its a 32" tv, it's worth taking it in for a $100-$200 repair.

This happens when your TV's capacitors become weak and cannot charge up to full potential. You will notice bulging capacitors on the circuit board. They will need replacement and make sure they are not only of the same value but also of the same grade !!
There are capacitors on the power supply board that dry out with age. You can identify them by observing the tops of each of them. They have to be flat, not domed. Some of them may be discolored from heat. You can get parts from here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy
Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.
