No picture or sound, just a click every few seconds.

I think its a defective convergence chip/circuit and need a tech to replace it. It could cost about $300 or so.

please post how many time it blinks, this does help us solve your problem.

might be a bad hdmi cable. try another one.

Suspect number one is not fan, lamp or Color wheel--optical light engine with dmd is.

This happens when your TV's capacitors become weak and cannot charge up to full potential.
You will notice bulging capacitors on the circuit board. They will need replacement and make sure they are not only of the same value but also of the same grade !!

There are capacitors on the power supply board that dry out with age. You can identify them by observing the tops of each of them. They have to be flat, not domed. Some of them may be discolored from heat. You can get parts from here: TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy

Did anyone find out the solution for this??????? I have the exact same problem with my LG 32 LCD. I only had it for a year and a half, and the green light blinks a few times and it shows no picture. Not even a red light when the tv is off. The same thing happened a couple weeks ago and by some miracle it started working again.

What you are seeing is called a TEXT box....it is a feature of
the closed-caption option....enter menu page for closed- caption to turn off text box.........................T.

Mine did the same but no picture, just sound every few seconds for 1-2 seconds. I unplugged from the wall for 10 seconds and plugged back in, works fine now.
